Juneteenth marks the day when federal troops arrive in Galveston, Texas, the last corner of the United States, to ensure all enslaved people be freed. Today, Juneteenth honors the end of slavery in the United States. To celebrate, we will be holding an educational event with our Resident Services team for both residents and staff to attend. We will also be posting information in the break room to spread awareness, with the intention of sparking meaningful conversations.
