In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, companies are increasingly realizing the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at Vitalia North Olmsted, we understand employee recognition is essential to achieving this culture.
Employee recognition is just as it sounds: recognizing and thanking employees for their hard work and effort. At Vitalia North Olmsted, we show this appreciation in several ways. From social recognition, milestone awards, or our weekly creative follow-ups (CFUs), we always take a moment for our hard-working team members.
As the Business Office Director, part of my role is to promote employee appreciation. This past year, my favorite CFU was our celebration of the 4th of July! I got the staff lots of patriotic goodies to eat and wear. Seeing them dress up and share their fantastic new items with the residents was fun. We also had a barbeque that everyone enjoyed!
This is just one example of the many outstanding team members we have. We genuinely believe when done right, employee recognition creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.
